Statement
My art has often been political, sometimes tongue-in-cheek humorous and awkwardly personal while digging at a deeper understanding of the human psyche; that which encompasses the soul and raw essence of human compassion and identity.
My work are reflections of self exploration coupled with a fascination in group psychology. It speaks of one’s separation and coexistence with society. Who are we as individuals away from the rules, life scripts and the quest to understand who we are “suppose to be?”
Many people live lives according to social rules that predate our own existence. We agree to live accordingly because there seems no other choice but to go along with the norm. I do not ask that you look outside the box. I only ask that you to consider there is no box; other than the one you create. Choose to create what you love.
